I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of Texas. I am completing my 16th year of my career in a local public school district, serving as the Lead Interventionist/Behavior Specialist and district’s BCBA. My career began as a special education teacher for students with various disabilities. This is when my passion for learning the science of behavior began to blossom and I pursued my Masters of Arts in Special Education with an emphasis on Autism and Emotional/Behavioral Disorders. Currently, I serve students ranging from age 3 years old to 22 years old with significant behavioral challenges. A strength of mine is teaching parents, teachers, staff members, or caregivers about how behavior in their child or loved one is shaped and I love developing effective plans in reducing these challenging behaviors.
Outside of being a behavior analyst, I am a proud wife, mother of a 7 year old boy, a “bonus mom” to two older bonus children, and a daughter of Christ. As a family, we spend the majority of our time watching or playing sports, and spending time at the pool or outdoors. When I have time to myself, I love working on puzzles, exercising, cooking, and taking naps.
