Dianne Feria

Licensed Professional Counselor

Hello!

My name is Dianne Feria. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas.

I have over seven years experience in the mental health field, both from the Community Mental Health model and in Private Practice. I have a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Ashford University and a Master’s in Community Counseling from Argosy University.  As a psychodynamic therapist who integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ( CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), I look into the dynamics of my client’s relationships and their family of origin to help them gain insight on their beliefs, thoughts, and actions. I use SFBT to help clients identify current behaviors and strengths that they have utilized in the past which may apply to the current situation, and lastly, I use CBT to encourage my clients to practice new skills and behaviors. My experience includes working with individuals with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, helplessness, hopelessness, suicidal ideations and self-harm, self-esteem, and mood disorders.

It is in the process of self-reflection and the application of behavior that we can elicit change and therefore happiness in our lives, which I believe you deserve. I will be here to support, guide, encourage and assist you in the process of discovering and empowering yourself.  I help individuals overcome perceived barriers in their life by helping individuals challenge assumptions, attitudes, behaviors, and feelings about themselves and the world. My goal is to help individuals feel significant, valued, encouraged, and confident.
